Fourth Avenue Dental
Fourth Avenue Dental: A Fresh New Look for New Management
An established dental clinic under new management and located in the sprawling metropolis of St.Catherines, Ontario, was looking to rebrand its practice, excite its customers, and appeal to a new clientele. They chose A Site Overnight to guide them through every step of the process. We worked with 4th Ave Dental to produce a modern logo and website to match. Built on a database-powered engine, their website was perfectly poised for future upgrades and feature additions.
Fourth Avenue Dental: Easy Access to Essential Information
Fourth Ave needed a website where critical information would be easy to find. We focused our efforts on ensuring the site presented that information in a simple yet effective way. By designing the site from the ground up with accessibility in mind, we were able to deliver a site that was not only easy to use, but also easy on the eyes.
Fourth Avenue Dental: Search Engine Optimization
If having a website was important, having that website picked up on search engines was absolutely essential. After designing, coding, and loading the site on the live server, we made sure the site was fully search engine optimized. Our SEO work included making sure search engine friendly URLS were in use, all the links and content were loading correctly, and that the site meta data, and content structure were optimized for search. In the end our work paid of and it wasn't more than a couple weeks before the site was positioning well on the top ten Google search results for relevant search queries.
Which Way to the War
Which Way to the War: An Award-Winning Documentary's Website
Director Sue Useem had spent months shooting and splicing footage for her independent film Which Way to the War. When she looked for a web design firm capable of producing a site as engaging as her documentary, she went with the firm her friends recommended and called A Site Overnight. We customized and installed a beautiful design on her film's website, then worked with her to integrate feature pages from everything from her production crew to a professional trailer. Today she has a site that showcases her 8-time Award-Winning documentary terrifically.
Which Way to the War: Learn More about the Characters
Always aware of precious screen real estate, when we set out to design the page featuring the cast of the film we knew we needed something both streamlined with the design and easy to navigate. Our solution involved a javascript-powered cast page with one-touch navigation through all 28 cast members photos and bios. In the end an entire block of information which would normally have taken up pages, now took up no more than a few inches on the screen.
Which Way to the War: An Embedded Flash Video Showcase
Movie trailers can be very expensive to produce. When you need to take those expensive videos and feature them on a web site you need to have a layout that doesn't look like just another embedded video from Youtube. For Which Way to the War we produced a Trailer page with an automatic fading background dimmer and an open source embedded flash video player. The final result is a cinematic experience that is engaging and captivating for site visitors.
Salagar Sonics
Salagar Sonics: World-Class Website for a World-Class Manufacturer
A world-renowned manufacturer of professional self-amplified speaker systems, Salagar Sonics contacted us to develop a sleek and intuitive website for their customers. We built and configured this E-Commerce site from scratch and redesigned much of the look and feel of the website-including a heavily customized version of a complex shopping cart module.
Salagar Sonics: E-Commerce Integration
Salagar initially launched in the summer of 2007 with a distribution model that included direct to consumer marketing via the web. This required the development and deployment of a fully-integrated shopping cart module, that would allow for inventory tracking, and complex international shipping and tax calculations. We found Salagar the solution they were looking for by starting with open source interactive shopping cart software then customizing and tweaking it to suit their needs. Today Salagar works through a vast dealer network which prohibits them from directly selling to consumers and when the time came to disable the shopping cart feature the change was as seamless for the site as the installation was.
Salagar Sonics: Javascript Juice
If you're an internationally recognized brand you need a website that boasts the level of interactivity and content users expect from such a brand. Our innovative use of javascript for Salagar began with us asking ourselves just what it was that made these loudspeakers so wonderful. Once we had our answer we decided on a streamlined and stylish way of showcasing them. The end result was a rich javascript-powered product feature page with highlightable hot-spots showcasing each feature.
ZMA Legal
ZMA Legal: A Chic Style for a Chicago Firm
A private, independent law firm located in the heart of Chicago, ZMA Legal required a website that matched its level of professionalism and focus. We aided them in branding and executing a successful online presence. By arming them with custom client intake forms, a powerful secured client panel, and smooth, javascript-driven animations, we delivered the project to the 100% satisfaction of the firm, and the 100% satisfaction of its visitors.
ZMA Legal: Developing With Purpose
As a fresh new firm in a highly competitive market, ZMA needed more than just an attractive website. They needed a way to pull clients into their business online. We met with ZMA and established a development cycle that specified prioritized phases of development, including design, core, and feature implementation phases. As part of that final phase we deployed database-driven customized client intake forms that allowed ZMA's business to hit the ground running. Now, rather than waiting around the office for the phone to ring, ZMA picks up clients from its site. It's all low-touch, and it's all done online.
ZMA Legal: A Confluence of Contemporary Design Trends
ZMA came to us with a simple request: build us a website that portrays the strength and dependability of a reputable firm, with a design that's both stylish and inviting. We worked with ZMA to find a style that fit, then heavily customized and modified the code to get ZMA the look they were craving. By the time we delivered the project both ZMA and its expanding client base were excited about the firms engaging new website.
